Like a monkey with a miniature cymbal

So I woke up this morning at 9 so that I could go in to the gym and work early enough to get home early, making up for last Thursday. But when I got into the gym... no gym clothes. I'd taken them home for Ben to do with the laundry, and then promptly forgot to grab them this morning. Brilliant.

I just had lunch with Lisa, though, and between that, officially accepting grad school's offer of admission and a single, soothing gin and tonic with lunch I'm in a much better mood. Topical application of Hot Chip's "Over And Over" helped, too (the album is good, but the second half hasn't been doing much for me).

I had vietnamese food for lunch, which made me happy. But it ain't no gin and tonic. I wish I could drink at lunch while eating out with the boss.... ::sigh::

I had lunch with a bunch of coworkers after a meeting once and some of the guys had a beer, so I'm pretty sure we're allowed to. I'm kind of surprised you're not (we're not talking about getting drunk here or anything).

I had aloo gobi, which made me very happy too.

well I mean, it's not like it's against company policy or anything. I mean, we used to have beer in the coke machine here (until they figured out it was a liability). My boss just won't allow it for his department for some reason or another. Sucks.

haha, oh he can be at times.
