"Though some see Canada as cold and remote"

Hey, as The Onion could tell you, at least we're psychologically healthy.

Brilliant. The diagnosis for America seems spot on.

However, I disagree with the notion that Canada is psychologically unblemished.Canada wasn't abandonned by its mother country at a young age, but instead it had two competing mother figures. Both took a stab at shaping the personality of the country. This may have resulted in a little bit of split personality.

Not too mention that Canada has frequently shown that it lacks the self-esteem to say no to its agressive Southern Brother and its stuffy traditional mother. Canada also bows in gratitude for every scrap of praise it receives, and tries unreasonably hard to be nice so people will like it. Perhaps a tinge of inferiority complex?

Though it still seems that Canada is pretty healthy in the scheme of national psychosis.

Plus, you know, cold and remote.

(It's funny and it's true!)
