"This doesn't rule out free will, but it does make it implausible."

Study suggests our brains make up our minds for us a good ten seconds earlier than we think we've made a decision. Which kind of suggests that whatever we think our reasons are, they're not the real cause of our actions. Wheeeee!

I am highly dubious of any significance of this. For starters, that article says "In all, they tested seven men and seven women from 21 to 30 years old." that shouldn't even be enough of a sample to get the research published. And 10 seconds ahead of you 'thinking' of something? Does that mean any quicker reaction must be some kind of divine intervention? MxBx

Yeah, that's what I thought, but I was still compelled to say something!
