I'm not emo or anything, but...

...I'd be lying if I said today's Questionable Content doesn't make me want to rush out and corner everyone I know who reads it and have one of those ridiculous conversations fans have.

(You know, like "OHMIGOD HAVE YOU SEEN THE GREAT OUTDOOR FIGHT?" "OF COURSE! ISN'T IT AWESOME!" "IT IS AWESOME!" and so on.)

OMG I KNOW.

I'm predicting a QC main character is totally going to wind up dead before the strip is over because of these recent developments...

I hate to say it, but I really hope it's neither Marten nor Dora - because I've been pulling for them ever since they seemed like a possibility.

In other news, I can never ever make fun of anyone who watches soap operas again.

I was always pulling for Faye and Marten, but that's probably because Faye's insane like me, and Marten's a hot indie rock dude, and those two should go together.

And yes, I just compared myself directly to a comic strip character, and somewhat admitted a minor crush on a drawing. This is almost as bad as when I admitted that "Trent" from the Daria cartoon was "kind of hot".

I've got my money on the "no death" outcome; this sort of thing, and worse, has happened to many people in the world (even crazy people) without leading to actual murder.

Of course a suicide by Faye is also a possibility--but that would be really, really disturbing.

Meh. That was a let-down.

Does this mean Dan reads QC?

My mind, she is blown.

yeah, that was a letdown. I wanna see some fist fights, damnit.

Jesus people, it's been maybe two strips since the kiss. Give it time!

HEY. Impatience is a virtue, mister. Fist fights. NOW.

Maybe today's strip is just a fakeout, and tomorrow will begin with Faye punching him in the neck?

hopefully. I need more drama in my life than that panel provided me with.

I can't believe the first time I've got more than ten comments in a long, long time is about a webcomic. Where's Brad? Surely he has an opinion on all this.

brad's being weirdly internet-anti-social lately. My efforts to make him come back have been futile thus far.

I miss his writing. He should definitely come back.

I emailed him this thread of comments, since our other efforts haven't produced anything.

COME ON PEOPLE.

WE CAN GET TO TWENTY COMMENTS.

LET'S TALK ABOUT COMICS.

I LIKE COMICS.

Anyone read Ice Haven by Daniel Clowes yet? I need to pick that up.

Or are we talking specifically webcomics?

Whatever, really. I've never read Clowes, though. I should see if he's in at the library at all (we have a graphic novel shelf, it's awesome).

Holy crap. Graphic novels in the library. Yeah check him out if they've got it. Get David Boring.

I've heard good things about that, it's just so expensive to buy his stuff. Especially up here.

eh yeah. I don't know how canada works, but if you can order from Amazon, it's only like $10 for a hardback version. Of course, shipping and all is a whole other monster, I'm sure.

Amazon Canada lists it as going for as cheap as $14.84 Canadian, so about $20-5 after shipping, etc.

Which is more than I can really afford to pay for something by a guy I've never read before.

Oh, how I miss working full-time.

yeaaaaah, $25? screw that. Well, it's proably worth it, but seeing that you don't *know* that yet, I don't blame you for not splurging. And working full time sucks, I don't know what planet you're living on. I do have money though.

Money = David Boring.
but
Money <> Happiness. Well, unless it's Todd Solondz's.

I should have been more clear: I miss the money of working full-time. Not the free time I have. I regret nothing!

that's the spirit!
