Thank your parents

My review of the new Oneida album, the first part of a trilogy apparently, is up today at PopMatters.

Your Oneida review was great, that new ep/lp makes for a promising start to the trilogy. I like my drone low slung and subtle. I have no idea how these albums are going to develop. If it's predictable I'll be disappointed, and very surprised. I don't think they're the kind of band to do this with no prior thought. I think they know how it is going to end.

That's my hope, yeah. I still love Secret Wars more than the rest of their stuff, but they're an amazingly impressive band. I'm just bummed no-one seems to be following up on the sound of SW.... maybe Parts & Labor, a little bit?
