LIKE JAZZ OR GRIME! LIKE JAZZ OR GRIME!

I like the Art Brut songs I've heard, and not for some sort of theoretical/rhetorical reason, either. But when Anthony Miccio is this convincing about their suckitude, it does give me pause.

I'm a fan of both the jazz and the grime. And damnit, art brut has some damn catchy songs. But I probably only think that because I suck at life. Listen to that other guy instead.

But I agree about the catchy songs!

Well maybe you suck at life too? just like me!!

Miccio also, as much as I love him, comes from the hyperbolic school of music writing.

oh, is THAT why he comes off like a total ass in that article... hm.

Ahh, Anthony's all right.

oh i'm sure he's an alright person. and the article's actually hilarious. But that doesn't mean he doesn't come off like an ass throughout it still.

that's not the same writer is it? because that guy's hilarious. and I pretty much agree with him on everything. whereas talking shit about art brut is just gonna piss me off.

Nope, but I think Dr. Thorpe and Miccio have some commonalities.
