And I'm all hooked up
You know, if someone had told me earlier that Broken Social Scene sounded so very different (as in, from a different band) from the crappy You Forgot It In People, I would have checked it out earlier.
(NB. I had plenty of evidence I should have given it a chance when it came out, that's not the point - it was the wrong kind of evidence!)

Still not got Broken Social Scene, despite them blowing my mind back in August...
That is kind of a hint ;), though SendSpace has been playing up badly for me of late. Cheers for the Joe Strummer link - I'll see if I can get that to work.
More than happy to furnish you with something in return - if any of the following take your fancy, just let me know by email and I'll upload them (that side of things seems to be working fine):
The Grates - Gravity Won't Get You High
Peter Bjorn And John - Writer's Block
The Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control
The Futureheads - News And Tributes
Giant Drag - Hearts And Unicorns
Semifinalists - Semifinalists
Howling Bells - Howling Bells
My Latest Novel - Wolves
Those last three are particularly strongly recommended if you haven't already heard them...

Unterberger will beat you for dissing the first BSS album, if he's not busy beating me for putting "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" as my #2 single this year.

Oh, we already had that out when the OST went up.
And I might have to join him in beating you. Why, John? Why?
(I kid)
