"I want my money back!"

To say that I never expected to like a Saul Williams song this much is a bit of an understatement. Heard about it from a friend, who heard about it from... a Nike ad? Really?

If I remember correctly that track is about the only thing worth hearing off that particular album. Amethyst Rockstar was a lot more entertaining. Saul's a great live performer though with his spoken word shit.

I saw that nike ad last night actually when the boys were watching basketball, and it threw me the fuck off guard. I couldn't remember who it was, and kept thinking it was the Hives because their cover got stuck in my head a while back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu4XawBelwg

Holy shit that live medley is awesome. I love the Hives' bassist.

Not that surprised that you like it; the chorus is aurally akin to the verses of "Wolf Like Me" (which of course, sounds reminiscent of Reznor, so the circle is completed).

Hmm, good call - I hadn't noticed that, but you're definitely right.

Does that mean you don't like this song, then?

Yeah, it's not my thing. That Hives cover is almost enough to redeem it, so perhaps it is more a Saul/Trent thing than the song itself.

I do love the bass on that version.
