And here we sit, debating math

My review of the astoundingly good new Low album is up at Stylus today.

Great review. I'm not quite as enthusiastic about it as you are, though it's definitely growing on me.

As opening lines (or even opening verses) to albums go, it's certainly striking...

And I also agree with your response in the comments about the relative "rockingness" of the recent albums - though for me 'Dinosaur Act' started it, 'Canada' followed on and then there came The Great Destroyer.

I thought about mentioning "Dinosaur Act" too, but honestly if felt more relatively rocking before I plunged into their back catalog. It seems kind of in line with something like "Immune" or even "Stars Gone Out" to me now.
